King Charles & Queen Camilla Unveil Coronation Celebration Playlist
By: Hulya Ozkoyuncu : On 6 February 2023 marking Queen Elizabeth II’s accession anniversary the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport launched the official UK Coronation Celebration Playlist ahead of the upcoming coronation. Featuring 27 classic and contemporary UK hits—from The Beatles’ “Come Together” to Coldplay, David Bowie, Ed Sheeran, and the Spice Girls this Spotify playlist sets the festive tone for King Charles III and Queen Camilla’s big day on 6 May.
Buckingham Palace emphasized that the playlist “reflects the monarch’s role today and looks toward the future while rooted in longstanding traditions.” The coronation weekend will feature a grand procession, a live concert at Windsor Castle, and a special bank holiday designed to encourage community engagement through the Big Help Out volunteer campaign.
