Peter Doig Goes on Show at Courtauld Gallery
By: Hulya Ozkoyuncu
A month into spring, The Courtauld Gallery opened “Peter Doig: On Memory’s Shore,” a major retrospective spanning four decades. Doig’s dreamy, layered landscapes echo cinematic memory and personal myth. Londoners queued for hours, drawn in by vibrant canvases depicting forests, ice-skating scenes, and Caribbean light. Curators say it’s “a conversation between time and place, inviting deep reflection in every brushstroke.”
