London’s New Year’s Day Parade 2024

Bands, samba dancers and rock & roll artists participated in London’s New Year’s Day Parade, preparing to entertain the world in 2024.

Thousands of people attended the first screening in the morning on Monday, January 1, 2024.

London’s New Year’s Day Parade is a beloved anniversary tradition that brings glitz, ambience and old-fashioned fun to England’s capital. The event, now in its fifth decade, lifts spirits along the iconic parade route through the ancient city of Westminster. He rubs shoulders with cultural and community groups, leading professional entertainers and London mayors. Plus, more than 20 US marching bands and thousands of university students take to the streets of the UK capital as they step into the global spotlight.

Filled with pop, glitz, pageantry and pageantry, the world’s favorite and first parade of the New Year is a must-see for young and old. London took US marching band culture to its heart and gave them the warmest welcome as they traveled across the pond to participate in this treasured event. More than 20 marching bands and more than a thousand cheerleaders from across the United States participated in the 2024 Parade.

Among the US groups that have stepped onto the iconic two-mile route from the Ritz Hotel to the Houses of Parliament:

  • D’Evelyn High School Marching Jaguars, Denver, Colorado
  • The Oak Grove & Independence All Stars, San Jose, California
  • Talladega College Great Tornado Band, Talladega, Alabama
  • Grayson High School, Loganville, Georgia
  • Mansfield University, Mansfield, Pennsylvania
  • Londonderry High School Marching Band, Londonderry, New Hampshire
  • Lake Norman High School, Mooresville, North Carolina
  • Disco Amigos, New Orleans, Louisiana
  • Carl Sandburg High School Marching Band, Orland Park, Illinois.

The Mayor of Westminster, all borough mayors and other British dignitaries headline the event with a traditional horse-drawn carriage parade, while the event is headlined by British pop star ‘the one and only’ Chesney Hawkes. A dozen boroughs from across London were represented, with creative entries from their communities.

London hosted thousands of people in the first hours of 2024.
